Objectives
When SnapCare identified significant user experience issues with their minimum viable product (MVP), they engaged Preux for their expertise in UX and UI design. The objective was to transform the disjointed legacy systems into a streamlined, HIPAA-compliant digital offering—a nurse booking management tool equipped with features such as instant payment capabilities. This was crucial not only for enhancing the platform’s functionality but also for ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience across both web and mobile platforms.
Solution and Outcome
Preux took on a comprehensive role, beginning with the overhaul of the existing UX and UI to address the platform’s critical shortcomings. They aimed to create a seamless digital transformation from a manual, offline solution to an integrated, efficient online system. Preux was also exclusively responsible for designing and developing the WordPress marketing website, ensuring a unified digital presence that accurately reflected the brand and its capabilities.
Throughout the project, Preux utilized an agile development methodology, allowing for flexibility and rapid iteration based on user feedback and changing market demands. This approach facilitated the continuous evolution of the platform through various phases, from MVP to beta testing, and eventually to a full launch. Each phase aimed to refine the platform’s features and expand its capabilities, including advanced credential verification, personalized user management, and compliance with diverse state-specific legal and taxation requirements.
As part of ensuring HIPAA compliance and enhancing data security, newer services were migrated to Amazon Web Services (AWS), which provided robust infrastructure for managing the growing volume and diversity of data.
Results
SnapCare experienced a remarkable growth rate, with an initial user registration explosion and multiple successful funding rounds, culminating in securing $15 million in 2020. By 2021, SnapCare reported reaching $1.5 billion in annual revenue and continued to maintain top rankings in the healthcare sector, including #1 in healthcare and #2 overall on the 2022 Inc. Magazine 5000 list, reflecting a yearly growth rate of 146,319%.
The platform has notably enhanced the speed and efficiency of healthcare staffing, often referred to as “Uber for nurses,” by dramatically reducing the time required to place medical staff from the industry standard of 11-14 days to just 24-48 hours.
